Local elections are the most important elections of all.
They arguably have the largest impact on cities and their inhabitants, but they lack the ubiquitous media coverage of national elections, causing people to perceive them as less important.
Specivic wants to turn you into a believer in the efforts of local governance to shape the future of your city or municipality. As a start, Specivic wants to make you confident in your local voting decisions by providing all of the discussion and candidate information that you're looking for.
We're working hard to get all of the useful candidate information for your local elections into one place so that you can research voting decisions conveniently and make decisions that truly resonate with you.
The idea started in 2014, after a first-time municipal voter walked into a polling station knowing almost nothing about the people on the ballot. Municipal governments can't host this information themselves because of the obvious conflict of interest, and most candidates never build a website. Specivic is the parent site that connects it all.

Every candidate gets the same profile, the same tools and the same placement. Candidates within an office are listed in random order on every page load.
